We did it boys!

Check one off of the bucket list. Your boy Truth is officially a touring artist! Hunger Games 3 Tour in the books!

First and foremost, let me apologize for being lax in my updates here. There’s no excuses, I been slacking. But change only happens after realization of failures, so we keep it moving. Now onto the good news.

A couple of months ago, my good friend Larry Coleman 2020 came to me and asked me if I would like to join him on tour. I IMMEDATELY said yes. If you’ve known me for any amount of time or ever asked me what my goals are with this music, you would know that touring has always been my number 1 goal. Fame and fortune would be nice, sure, but all I really wanted to do was travel around the country performing the music that I made with my friends. So for that to be an option was something I couldn’t pass up. To be honest, it wasn’t the best timing for me. I had just gotten back to Las Vegas, had just started my new job, and the cost of moving had made my financial situation tighter than I like it to be. But there was NO WAY I was going to miss out on this opportunity, so I agreed, and it was on.

Fast forward through many trials and tribulations(if you’ve ever planned a tour you know what I mean) and we were on the road. Early morning departure with me driving the 15 person van with 8 of my good friends headed for Santa Cruz, California. Our first show wasn’t until the next day in San Jose, but we wanted to hit the ocean and start our tour off nicely with some fun. About 11 hours later we were walking the beach and filming some content. Had an amazing sea food dinner on the pier and I couldn’t have been happier. The drive was mellow, the mood was high, and everyone was having a great time. Retired back to our lodge in San Jose and prepared for our first show at Charley’s Bar.

For the sake of brevity, I won’t go into every detail and every stop, but we performed in San Jose, Reno, Las Vegas, and capped it all off with our show at The Holding Company in San Diego. I can hear the haters now, “tHaTs oNlY fOuR sHoWs”. You can talk when you go on tour! It is what it is, and it was a movie. I had an absolute blast. Got closer with my fellow musicians, cemented life long friendships, and make new connections along the way. Met a lot of new people, incredible artists, promoters, booking agents, and staff. All of those connections will serve me in the future, but more than that, it was amazing to meet and share memories with these people. Already planning collaborations and return shows, so it was an absolute success.

I honestly felt a little bad because, as expected, things didn’t always go exactly as we planned and that caused a lot of stress and headaches for people. But I was having a great time. I drove the entire trip, since I was the only one who had experience driving larger vehicles, and it was my name on the contract. Which was fine with me because I like driving and I get a bit uncomfortable being a passenger, so it was a win-win. There was even a time when we had to drive through the Sierra Nevada mountains from San Jose to Reno because we thought the main Interstate would require chains, which we did not have. So we took the long route through a mountain pass to try and avoid the blizzard. However, the blizzard worked it’s way further south than we expected and we had to drive through the mountains during a blizzard. Everyone was on edge and worried the whole time, while I was really enjoying myself. I had never been through the Sierras and had never seen Redwoods before. So I was taking in the sights while people were stressing.

I could go on and on and on about the amazing time that I had. But this is getting a bit rambly already so I’ll wrap it up. All in all, I had the time of my life. I was able to check off one of my biggest life goals and I can’t wait until the next one. Big thanks to everyone involved and the biggest shout out to Larry Coleman 2020 for blessing me with that opportunity. If you aren’t yet, make sure to follow my social media to stay up to date on what I’ve got going on. Also, join the mailing list so we can stay in contact in case the powers that be ever decide(again) to kick me off of any platforms. More music and more shows are coming soon, so stay tuned.

Love Life.
